2003 Server/VC6/ODBC Excel Driver/RDP Client : ADO DAO RDO RDS

This is a discussion on 2003 Server/VC6/ODBC Excel Driver/RDP Client within the ADO DAO RDO RDS forums in Framework and Interface Programming category; My apps are strait C++, no MFC or other Win stuff. None. My ODBC code has worked fine for a number of years on Win NT 4 and Win XP (never used 2000). Now that I'm trying to run it on Win 2003, it generates a failure reading schematics from an Excel spreadsheet using Excel ODBC driver v4.00.6205. It fails whether I'm logged in using RDP client or actually at the machine. Do I need an aupdated version of ODBC? Any suggestions welcomed. Thanks Jim...

Default 2003 Server/VC6/ODBC Excel Driver/RDP Client

My apps are strait C++, no MFC or other Win stuff. None.

My ODBC code has worked fine for a number of years on Win
NT 4 and Win XP (never used 2000).

Now that I'm trying to run it on Win 2003, it generates a
failure reading schematics from an Excel spreadsheet
using Excel ODBC driver v4.00.6205. It fails whether I'm
logged in using RDP client or actually at the machine.

Do I need an aupdated version of ODBC? Any suggestions
welcomed.
