| I've downloaded a number of books from google books. Previously, I had no trouble printing them out in 32-page-at-a-time booklets. I usually crop the pdf's to 5.5 x 8.5 inches so that the type will not be reduced when two pages are placed side by side. I just had to switch to Vista, and the Adobe website apparently refuses to download Reader 8 to a Vista machine. I now have two printing problems, one with each printer. The hp 5150 adds about 1/2 inch of blank space to the left margin of each printed page. This means that the two sides of the sheet do not line up for folding and stapling. The hp all-in-one C4250 does not add space on the side of the page -- but it cuts off about 1/4 inch of the right margin of the text of each left-hand (even-numbered) page! (The text is intact in the pdf, with adequate right margin.) The drivers for both printers were just downloaded from the hp website. How can I get back Reader 8? Or how can this be fixed for at least one of the printers? Thank you. |
