How to move to the end of a video clip?
I have a 1 hour 40 minute video clip dropped into a 1 second comp. How do I jump to the end or close to the end of the 1 hour 40 minutes video clip in the Time Line? It takes a very long time to just drag the timeline. I wonder if there is a faster way.

Re: How to move to the end of a video clip?
Hey Charlie.
There are many ways to do this.
One way, would be to drop your footage from the project window into the "new comp" button at the bottom of the project window. This will create a comp with your footage in it, at the length, dimensions, and framerate of your footage. Then, move the CTI to the end of the timeline, or hit the "end" key on your keyboard, and set your work area to the last frame. Then choose "trim comp to work area" from the compostion menu.
Or, in your current 1 frame long comp, you can manually set the in-point of the footage to the desired time by expanding the appropriate panels (hit the {} button at the bottom of the timeline window).

To move the clip's output to the current time, hit ]
Then, to trim off the beginning, move the time indicator to where you want to trim, and hit alt [

btw - those shortcuts also work on multiple layers. So, if you imported a bunch of layers that were too short for the current comp, you could select them all, move to the end of the comp, hit alt ], and all your layers will extend to the end of the comp (assuming there's enough footage).

If you just want to go straight to the end, select the layer & Hit "O" (out). If you hit "]", you are gonna move your clip to where your time marker is and I don't think you want to do that.

Re: How to move to the end of a video clip?
But if you jump to the outpoint (o) of a 100 minute clip while in a 1 second comp, you won't see anything (since it's after the end of the comp).
I still think he's looking for ] , so he can see the end of his video clip inside his comp.
