Don't forget that you will also have to find a way to overcome the present system somehow, which provides a nice revenue to the Printing department. Often, as I know from experience, the hardest thing is not to convince others of how good a certain way of doing things is, but to dislodge entrenched interests that work against any change by pure force of inertia and self-interest.

As an example it took me two years of cajoling, convincing and creating alliances to convince a certain design firm to change their way of dealing with color. TWO YEARS! Of course, now that they have been using for several years the system that I initiated, they would never do without it. But do not expect anyone to embrace you, not until later, if even then. I still haven't heard any thanks myself.
