| You can do this in the PDF by Acrobat Professional (here 7): Tools > Print Production > Convert Colors > CMYK: Convert Choose a Gray Profile, for instance Dot Gain 20% for Coated. I'm using neither Gray DotGain nor Gray Gamma but a Gray Profile which is derived from a standard profile. ISO Coated delivers Black Ink ISO Coated in Photoshop. Unfortunately such a profile isn't accessible in Acrobat. Best regards --Gernot Hoffmann |

| If this is high quality print job the best way is to do this is convert each image in Photoshop so you will has the best contrast. |

| print a PDF out of In Design using the color management upon export. Select your 20% dot gain profile as the destination. |
