Re: Where/how to get "missing" fonts?

This is a discussion on Re: Where/how to get "missing" fonts? within the Adobe Framemaker forums in Adobe Tools category; Hi Tim, I understand the fact that Frame can not insert fonts' information in all its files. However, since when you export docs into .pdf it does that, or something very similar, couldn't Frame possibly do that with .fm files too, at least in the book, when you're working in such an environment? Of course, I supose .pdf files are much larger than Frame files, but such a process would bring an extended meaning to "cross plataform" compatibility - across diferent computers, not just diferent OSs, and just as long as the destination computer has the fonts required ;-P. jbr,

It is not a question of what Frame could do, just what it does do. Frame does
not embed fonts in Frame files. It probably isn't even on the horizon of
frequently requested features BUT http://www.adobe.com/support/feature.html is
the brand new feature request page. Its new. Its spiffy and is just waiting for
your input :-)
