Best "purge" utility?

This is a discussion on Best "purge" utility? within the Adobe Framemaker forums in Adobe Tools category; Hi: I'm looking for a utility or script that will allow us (in FrameMaker 8) to completely clear the paragraph, character, master page, reference page and xref format catalogs on an existing document, rather than having to go through and clear them each one-by-one. Frame's "additive" behavior when you import new formats is making us nuts, as we're winding up with both new imported formats and bad, old legacy formats. We want to effectively replace all of the cataloged information in the target doc with new information from a template, and we want everything /already there/ to be deleted completely ...
