Aligning/flowing text around an object

  1. Default Aligning/flowing text around an object

I am working in Illustrator CS2 and have been unable to figure out how to flow text around an object. I'm not looking to set type along a path. Rather, I would like to align a block of text along/around a curvy object. How can I do this?

Along and around are very different things. Let's say you mean around.

If you enter "text wrap" as the search phrase in AI 12 help, you should get, at the very top of the list of topics, the instructions you need.

Thanks, Harron! I did mean "around" and the help topic you pointed me to was exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate the prompt response.
