Pattern brush offseting

  1. Default Pattern brush offseting

    Hi ,
I made a shape and I apply some decorative pattern brush as the stroke , the problem is that I have lack of control over the offset of the pattern brush. for example im after a symmetrical shape but the pattern is not.

Ya…I know it doesn’t tell a lot but I attach an image to show what I mean , the red arrow show where I want this “diamond” shape to be.

Maybe I should make only the held way and than mirror it?

    Thanks
    S

    Shay,

To make up for the asymmetry of the shape to be surrounded by the brushed path, you may cut the path at corresponding points top/bottom and near/off (left/right) and use an Artbrush (based upon the Pattern Brush) that will just stretch to fit. In that way, the asymmetry may be hidden quite well.
