Fill & stroke

  1. Default Fill & stroke

    Hi,

Why do fill and stroke default to none?
If I for example draw a rectangle and set fill and
stroke to my liking the next shape I draw has no fill
    and no stroke.
I guess there is a way to have for example red fill
and green stroke as a default so that every drawn shape
    gets these attributes.

    Thanks,

  2. Default Re: Fill & stroke

    Martti,

I believe the default is 1pt black stroke and no fill in all versions so maybe your preferences are corrupted.

In any case, when you have drawn one you can keep your choice by the button in the Appearance Palette that swithces between: New Art Maintains Appearance/New Art Has Basic Appearance.
