I can see in the Summary option of the Print dialog that the software
is aware the settings so how can I get that info recorded on the proof.




From there you could hit the "Save Summary...." button, print it and keep that with the proof. I know this isn't as elegant as you would like.

Your suggestion is a good one. Perhaps Adobe could address this in a future release.
