I'm getting the error repeatedly that my .txt file is not a supported file type or is empty. But I know that it has records and it was saved from Excel, just like the last one I used, which works correctly. Any ieas why one particular file would be unusable?

If it's in Excel, save it in CSV or Workbook.
Indesign likes that better.

i.e. Mobile:, should not be written in the first row header only mobile no coluns
