If you open the dictionary dialog you'll see a button for "import." You should be able to add any list of words you like, formatted as plain text with each word on a separate line. It appears that hyphenation locations are indicated by a double tilde (~~) if you don't trust ID to get it right on its own.
How you get the list out of Word is another story...
