| Thank you Dominic, You all have been most helpful in helping me understand all this embedding of fonts in PDF's. And especially about licensing & usage of fonts. Just another issue: The folks I did the pre-press with said it was OK to send them the font I used that gave me sooo much trouble in the first place [UMBRELLA]. Is that OK to do? Because we didn't want a "font substitute." But like I said in an earlier post, when talking with the Corel Corp. they said because the font was so old, it wasn't supported anymore and THAT'S why I was NOT able to embed it in the PDF in the first place. It did NOT have anything to do with licensing or usage. That's what they told me [at least in THIS case ONLY]. So, with [old] Corel fonts, I'll have to make sure they are up to date to embed in PDF's. Does this make sense to you, Dominic? Thanks again, Ellen |
