It does make sense to me, but bear in mind that Corel was saying merely that the licence doesn't preclude embedding, not that it was okay to send the font to a service bureau. (The difference is that embedding a font does not make it easily available to the receiver, but sending the whole font does.) To be legal, you'd have to make sure your printer has a licence for this font or that they will buy one before you send the font to them. (Legality and common practice do not often coincide in this area in real life.)
However, it is likely that your printer will already have a licence for this font - they are sure to have some Corel products lying around and such apps often used to have sizable libraries of Bitstream fonts included on the CD. Alternatively, buy the latest version of the font and embed it yourself. |
