Change All doesn't change all : Adobe Pagemaker
This is a discussion on Change All doesn't change all within the Adobe Pagemaker forums in Adobe Tools category; I'm using PM 7.01a on a Windows XP machine. I'm trying to update the footer on a number of master pages in the same document. I edit one of the stories, select All Stories and Change All, I'm lucky if two of them get updated. The phrases are absolutely identical -- I know because when I edit one of the unchanged stories, the Find-Replace works perfectly. What can I do to resolve this problem?...

| It may be possible that the "same" content appears on the footer of each page, but not every page has Master Pages turned on. I have seen this before, where a combination of Master Pages & No Master Pages is used throughout a document, but the original document designer has tried to maintain consistency regardless (possibly due to inexperience with the program). I would check to make sure that the offending pages (sounds like the majority of pages in your case) actually have Master Pages turned on! Good luck. |
