CS2: Image keeps disappearing

This is a discussion on CS2: Image keeps disappearing within the Adobe Photoshop forums in Adobe Tools category; I have CS2. Installed onto my new Vista laptop and updated. Seems to work great except every once in a while my imge in the working window disappears. I can see it in the navigator window. The image isn't minimized. It just disappears from my screen. I usually wind up having to save, close, and reopen the image to continue on with my image editing. I've been using Photoshop for years and have never had this before. Could someone tell me what I'm doing to cause this? Is it a Vista thing? Thanks, Babs...
