What do you back up after finishing a project?

OK so I have completed my first home video DVD. I've created Prem Pro sequences, After Effects animations and authored in Encore. I'm pretty satisfied with the final outcome. So it leaves me to question what I should be saving and what should go? I was thinking it would be a good idea to maybe burn the original capture clips onto DVD to obviously free up space on the computer, but 13GB/hour is a lot to backup. Don't really want to store DV Tapes. Therefore I'm curious as to what you people typically do?

Store original captured clips and in what format?
Backup any AE or PP files?

Don't want to go deleting everything in case there's something I'm not aware of in these early days of editing.

    Cheers
    Mike

I store DV tapes. I save the PPRO project folder, animations, sound effects, music, photos, and other similar files on a data DVD. I can batch capture video from miniDV tapes if I ever need to rebuild. Then its just relink animations etc and render.

In the past I used a DLT tape back-up system. But I found that batch capturing fro original tapes was quite adequate...that is if you're careful to properly title tapes and input the information when you build the show the first time.

External hard drives are good alternatives as well.

Thanks for the suggestions. Looks like I'll be hanging onto the tapes then!

Do have a 200GB external drive. That's what I've been storing everything on to date. Captured all my recent trip tapes on there at once though so only about 40GB left.
