no audio in the timeline - Adobe Premiere

Sometimes when my timeline is very complex, I have the same problem.
I think it comes from a lack of RAM. Even a gig isn't enough. I find that rebooting the computer fixes it for a while. It may be a bug but
my work around does the trick for me. Plus it's a good chance to stretch my muscles.

I read this messagge before posting my problem but my problem is quite diferent.

Hugo, are you using .avi or .mpg files?

If you are using .avi - how did you capture them?

Thanks to all for your colaboration.
I will reinstall the programm because there are very abnormal problems.
It is not a problem of memory because I tried with a minimum of clips and with mpeg and avi and the problem remain.

I reinstalled the program but with no difference.
An other detail: In the source monitor I can ear the sound but when I toggle to see the waveform it is a straight line and I continue to listen the sound....????
