Adobe Premiere 6.0 Export - Long Delays - 16 hours .. : Adobe Premiere

I am using Adobe Premiere 6.0 to edit a 54 minute long video. I have
10 minute long clip after editing.

When I export the timeline as Movie in AVI format, it shows it taken
19 hours to export. What I am doing wrong? I would appreciate any help
from this group to this learner's question.

I have included computer specifications and settings below:

Quadro Ex (128MB)

Video Settings:
COmpressor: Microsoft DV (NTSC)
Frame Size: 720x480
Pixel Aspect Ratio: D1/DV NTSC
Frame Rate: 29.97
Depth Millions, Quality 75%

Audio Settings:
Rate: 32000 Format 16 Stereo
COmpressor: Uncompressed

Rendering Options:
Field Setting: Lower Field First

Special Processing
Gamma: One Noise Reduction: None
Better Resize: Off, Deinterlace: Off
Cropping: Off

16 hours to encode a 10 minute video clip is excessive.

One possibility is that an unrelated process on your peecee is
gobbling up CPU time. If this problem occurs again, you can launch
Windows Task Manager to see which processes are using CPU time.
