Dazzle DVC100 with Premiere Elements 4.0 : Adobe Premiere

This is a discussion on Dazzle DVC100 with Premiere Elements 4.0 within the Adobe Premiere forums in Adobe Tools category; I'm trying to convert a stack of old ****ogue camcorder tapes using Pinnacle's Dazzle DVC100 . I would rather use Elements than Pinnacle's supplied software for this as the quality of the video in the former's capture window appears superior to the latter. However, when I click on "capture" in Elements, I get the following error message: "Incorrect STI driver detected for the current video capture device, please re-install driver" I've tried installing the latest Vista drivers for the DVC100 from Pinnacle's website, but the problem is still there. Any advice gratefully received. Steve Silverman...

Default Dazzle DVC100 with Premiere Elements 4.0

I'm trying to convert a stack of old ****ogue camcorder tapes using
Pinnacle's Dazzle DVC100 . I would rather use Elements than Pinnacle's
supplied software for this as the quality of the video in the former's
capture window appears superior to the latter. However, when I click on
"capture" in Elements, I get the following error message:

"Incorrect STI driver detected for the current video capture device, please
re-install driver"

I've tried installing the latest Vista drivers for the DVC100 from
Pinnacle's website, but the problem is still there.

Any advice gratefully received.

Good luck getting your question answered. This group seems to have been busy
until last September 14, then it suddenly died. I have no idea why.
