burning from hard drive : Adobe Premiere
This is a discussion on burning from hard drive within the Adobe Premiere forums in Adobe Tools category; I've been trying to burn a project with 3 main menu options and I keep getting a runtime error (Use of Invalid editor AuthorCore SegmentEditorBase) so I'm trying to work around it by burning from my hard drive. It says it was successfully burned to my hard drive (share-mpeg option)but I'm not sure if I have all the necessary files to burn with Roxio. It only shows 3 files: mpeg movie clip, XMPSES file and XMP file. Did I do it correctly or does it mean something is wrong with my project?...

| Not sure I understand exactly what you are wanting to end up with, but if its a 'regular video DVD', then , with PE4, you probably want to share to **Disk**, but where it says Burn To: ,pull down and select the Folder (4.7Gb) option. (You don't need a blank disk in the drive). This will create, among a few other things, a VIDEO_TS folder on your hard drive containing, among other things, some .vob files. Don't know about Roxio, but with Nero, you just 'Add' the entire VIDEO_TS folder to the burn list, and it will import the .vob and everything else in that folder. Hit Burn from Nero and it will create a DVD with the proper folder structure. Dave |

| Thanks so much for the feedback- it worked perfectly now! I would have never guessed to choose the share to `disk` option... I was convinced I should be saving to the personal computer cause it even gave the option `mpeg- for playback on this PC or burning to DVD`...Anyway, now I'll know for future projects. Thanks again! |
