Audio Problems : Adobe Premiere

This is a discussion on Audio Problems within the Adobe Premiere forums in Adobe Tools category; Purchased Premiere Elements 4 several months ago. Just now had chance to use it. Audio will not work. Sample files and personal files will not play audio. All other applications audio work fine. Any ideas where to start looking?...

What are the audio files? What format are they and where did they come from?

I'm sure you're aware that many commercial files, like those downloaded from iTunes, have digital copy protection that keeps them from being used in video editing projects.
