What happened to Adobe's own HD codec? : Adobe Premiere

This is a discussion on What happened to Adobe's own HD codec? within the Adobe Premiere forums in Adobe Tools category; I've just loaded v7 for the first time and when I try to export to HD format I find only the Media Player 9 codec and not the Adobe version I've used previously on V3. The Media P version produces a much smaller file than the Adobe so I assumed that the Adobe version was better. Is there a difference?...
