Premiere Elements 7 crashes with "cpp-283" : Adobe Premiere

This is a discussion on Premiere Elements 7 crashes with "cpp-283" within the Adobe Premiere forums in Adobe Tools category; Hi! My new Premiere Elements 7 has never run. Hi!
My new Premiere Elements 7 has never run. When I launch it, it comes back with "...\src\DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283". I am using Vista x64.
Any ideas out there how to resolve this problem?

Since it has not run from installation, I'd contact Adobe Technical Support. Installation issues are free.

Results of running Premiere Elements on a 64-bit operating system are often iffy. Some people have been able to do it without problems; many have not.

Do you using Photoshop elements if it is yes . Create a new catalog in Photoshop elements and launch Premiere elements. Please let me know if its not solved your problem.
