Thanks!

First off, I'm a graphic designer with just a basic knowledge of GoLive
For my website, I'd like to have the homepage with my main graphic and then have the buttons "pop" onscreen quickly one-by-one (ideally I'd like them to "pop on" larger and then go to normal size. The effect I'm looking for is like Ink droplets appearing on a page.)
I've got the droplet graphic but just need to know how to proceed from there.
Thanks very much for any and all help.

Do you expect people to visit your site only once or twice, or to visit regularly?
Flash. And it's pants for accessible navigation. But Flash is what you need.
Kathryn is subtly referring to the fact that web designers need to understand the quirks that make websites inaccessible or annoying.
To do this type of interactive animation, you should look to LiveMotion (discontinued but still useful), or Flash.
Prior to that, as Kathryn hints at, it would be good to take an introductory course in web design.
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate Katheryn's point about repeat visitors and would use BeenThereRedirect or some sort of cookie detection to keep from reloading the same intro.
Thanks as well, Nigel, for the Flash tip. (?"pants"? for accessible navigation?)
I believe Nigel is from the UK where verbal expressions hold a bit more class. If he was from the USA, he would have more crudely said:
And it's skidmarks in your shorts for accessible navigation.
....meaning that using a Flash element for navigation makes it very difficult for search engines to recognize your web site - or those with visual disabilities to access your site. 'BeenThereRedirect' relies on cookies which search engines do not use when indexing your site. If you want folks to find your site, you want search engines to be able to see your content.
Just so.
Thanks Jim
pants
english slang - actually a really good piece of slang, too
I left the UK 20 years ago this month and no-one used the term then - actually they didn't use "internet" "mobile phone" "blog" and many others - but pants is way up there with the best
basically means it's rubbish
but pants is so much better than "crap" or "sh*t"
I'm not sure where it really comes from - can only assume "underpants"
perhaps a real "englander" could enlighten me, too
It's important to point out to our American cousins here that in the UK pants are not overgarments worn as part of a suit etc. Those are trousers. Pants is indeed short for underpants (whatever they're called in the US). So calling something 'pants' in the UK is a derogatory term likening it to briefs.
