carmine,

First of all, without knowing what kind of brochure it is, for whom it's for, what purpose it's supposed to serve, who the audience for it is supposed to be, what is on the inside pages, why it is designed as it is, we're just looking at a cover. I suppose it's supposed to be an insert brochure for a CD, but...???

On its own, it's a hodgepodge of unrelated elements of varying styles. It doesn't say "jazz", "funk", "fusion", or much else to me. It doesn't even particularly say "music".

Good design is never created in a vacuum.

Neil

Carmine,
Absolutely, I too agree with Neil here,
You have to provide a clear information regarding the requirements related to the brochure, like purpose, type, product, audience, market, so please give much clear and concise information, which will help somebody here to help you out with this.

Although the poster asked it 2 months ago, I agree with the previous
commenter's.

You used too much transparency, it would even look better if you got rid
of the transparency on the two ladies in the back. The two firemen are
full of shown pixels. Why the lines? It seems you want to get into the
funky style. Why the two ladies, why firemen.

If you just started to use (I assume) Photoshop, it's a nice effort.
Keep on practicing.
