Default Cell background colour overflowing, Previewmode not the same Layout-screen shots provided

Hi there, I'm using GoLive CS 2 8.0.1, Powerbook G4 , 10.4.11, 1.67Ghz 2GB RAM.

I've designed this website using tables. Then used the option convert table to layout grid, once I was happy with the layout. I've also saved it as a template and have been using it just fine for my other pages. However, this particular page I wanted to resize it a bit smaller. (in template mode height was 1440px and now I'm scaling it down to 498px) I'm referring to the table with the 2 columns, left side light green, right side white. Therefore, to keep the same order of things but just want to change the size of table, I selected Template>Detach from Template option.

For some reason a lot things seem to have gotten a bit haywire when I did that. In the inspector box picture, I've shown my settings there. It seems fine in the Layout mode but in the Preview mode, the cell seems to have overflowed out of its boundaries of 498px. I'm guessing it still remembers its measurements of 1440px and doesn't want to conform to the new 498px. But why does the Layout mode look different from Preview mode? When I do Live rendering to see it in web browser mode, it follows the Preview Mode but not the Layout Mode. I still can't fix the problem of that white box overflowing, it has to be the same height as the light green box.

I've provided my settings for the inspector box and the other picture with the grid lines is in Layout mode and the one without is Preview mode.
