APL2000 Version 4 Blinking Value Tips

Hello,

I use APL2000 version 4.0 on a computer with XP Home Edition.
Just recently the Value Tips started blinking about once a second,
obviously making it difficult(more frantic!!) to read
the values of variables and the headers of functions.

I've tried changing fonts which was suggested, with no success.

Has anyone seen this problem and know of a solution

Yes and no! Yes I've seen it, because I have it too, just started recently,
came out of nowhere, and No, I don't know of a solution. But if anyone else
does, please fill us in, it is VERY annoying.

I solved my problem by removing a new mouse driver I recently installed.
In general, to solve these kind of problems try:

1. Killing processes one by one, and note the effect.

2. Use selective startup (using msconfig) to remove all nonessential
startup services/programs, then add them back one by one and see which
critter is causing the problem.

I solved the problem of my blinking tooltips simply by changing my mouse
pointer from "Windows Standard (Large)" to "Windows Default".
