Whither Scientific & Engineering APL?

This is a discussion on Whither Scientific & Engineering APL? within the APL forums in Programming Languages category; I am also a Mechanical Engineer (a PE actually). I would love an opportunity to demonstrate APL to the engineers, but I have been in software, sales, banking, financial modeling and entrepreneurship for decades, and the engineers no longer want me nor give a glance at my resume. Go figure. It is hard for me to grasp. A Space Shuttle Designer like myself on unemployment for years, and years ........ Meanwhile, I have started on my own new project! A book! "APL for C# Programmers" One chapter written. Hard work! LOL. Stay tuned. Vess Irvine STSC (APL*Plus guys) alumni....

Hi Vess,

That's hard.
Go in something people understand. E.g. chewing gum. Sold by the
billions for two quarters a piece - make a dime on each ... (like Nico
Mak did with his WinZip stuff)
