I have tried the VB6 DIALER.VBP, but it does some strange things, like leaving the line open even after the port is closed, and will not really make a connection. | Re: Want to use computer as telephone According to the documentation, TAPI is for Windows CE. I am working on a Vista desktop (actually a laptop computer). The purpose is to allow distributed data entry operators to call respondents without having to fumble with dialing their phone while entering data at the same time. No, just the first reference you came across happened to be for WinCE.
