| Is it possible to get the value of a barcode using OCR? A client of mine tells me he can OCR the 'normal' font info but not the barcode - which is a font after all. There are some questions about this in the NG but it seems from inactive users, and no solution given. Dick van Kooten |

I didn't get as far as hooking them into VO though. |

In general he told me that programs like MS Document scanning are just pre-loaded with common fonts, they do not 'read' fonts in use on the PC. So for the task done in this case, the programs you mention, even if they have an SDK, they are too heavy. Dick |
