Crystal10 and dBase

This is a discussion on Crystal10 and dBase within the Clipper forums in Programming Languages category; Hi, i have to use Crystal10 + dBase as Datasource. My Problem after creating Report is that no german Special-Letters like "öäü" be print out. It looks like an Ansi <=> ASCII Problem. In Crystal7 there was an Option "ASCII->ANSI for Charakters". I can not find these Option in Crystal10 or does someboby have an other idea ? Thanks for Help ! bye, Mario --...

Mario,

We encountered the same problem when we upgraded to Crystal 10. I assume
they removed the option because they thought it was obsolete.

As far as I know there's no way round it except to store data in your DBFs
with ANSI encoding rather than ASCII.

Hi Mario,

I confirm what Mike wrote : same missing option in CRXI (This
was made on purpose I presume)

Did you try OemToAnsi() or/and SetAnsi() functions ?
