Troubles installing SP3

  1. Default Troubles installing SP3

    I'm trying to install CS2002 SP3 in a Windows XP Pro SP2 environment. I've
follwed the instruction and ran "SetupDevEdition.exe". It simply un-install
CS2002 and then re-installed it. Is the service pack being applied when it
    does the re-install?

I then tried runing the "sp3Setup.exe" and get the following error message
    "Internal Error 2755. 1612, C:\Windows\Installer\20891.msi". According the
contents of the reade me file this should work.

Does any one know what's happing here.

    Thanks

I ran into this same problem with another piece of software, and managed to
    find a solution.

    Try this first:
    > Right click on the folder where the installation files are located.
    > Select Properties
    > Select the Security Tab
    > Click the "Advanced" button
    > Click on the "Owner" tab
    > Highlight the "Administrators" to change ownership.
    > Check the box that says "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects"
    > Click APPLY to make the changes and exit that window.
    > Click OK to exit the window underneath.
    > Attempt the reinstall.

If that doesn't work, you may have to create another user account with
administrator access and then try to reinstall the program with that
    account.

    Hope this helps/works.
