Really basic config question - Commerce server

The functionality you're looking for is provided by the Microsoft Live
Communication Server Product and not a Commerce Server Functionality.
Additionally if you're looking at exposing the above functionality through a
portal interface, you should explore Sharepoint Server or such portal
technologies.
