| Hello All, I'm getting back into CS development after a few years' absence. I've installed the StarterSite PUP file, and have finally got all the accounts set (I think) but when I try to navigate to "http://localhost/StarterSite" I get the error message above. Simlarly, when I try to open the Customer and Orders Manager, I get an error, and when checking the logs, I see the same message as above in the Application log entries. I suspect that one of my accounts may not have the proper rights, but how can I tell which one? Or is there another problem? I've tried applying this solution but with no sucess.(http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-US;Q327587) Any help is appreciated. -tomas |

| For the search engines: I created a virtual PC image based on Windows Server 2003. This solved my issue. I guess that CS2007 just doesn't play well with WinXP . Others may have a solution, I couldn't find it. -tomas "Tomas" wrote: > Hello All, > > I'm getting back into CS development after a few years' absence. > > I've installed the StarterSite PUP file, and have finally got all the > accounts set (I think) but when I try to navigate to > "http://localhost/StarterSite" I get the error message above. > > Simlarly, when I try to open the Customer and Orders Manager, I get an > error, and when checking the logs, I see the same message as above in the > Application log entries. > > I suspect that one of my accounts may not have the proper rights, but how > can I tell which one? > > Or is there another problem? > > I've tried applying this solution but with no > sucess.(http://support.microsoft.com/default...;EN-US;Q327587) > > Any help is appreciated. > > -tomas |
