Error AFTER MSCS 2007 SP2 Installations

This is a discussion on Error AFTER MSCS 2007 SP2 Installations within the Commerce server forums in Microsoft Tools category; Hello, I had the following error after installing MSCS 2007 SP2: 1- When running MS-Visual Studio the following error pops up: "package load failure --- Package Commerce Server has failed to load properly". Another question: Is it possible to have the SSL certificate used by MSCS 2007 stripped on the firewall level instead of leaving this procedure to the commerce server ?? I know this can be done on a regular website with SSL, but I haven't found any indications that this can be done with MSCS 2007 especially since the certificate need to be configured on the MSCS...

Default Error AFTER MSCS 2007 SP2 Installations

Hello, I had the following error after installing MSCS 2007 SP2:
1- When running MS-Visual Studio the following error pops up: "package load

Another question:
Is it possible to have the SSL certificate used by MSCS 2007 stripped on the
firewall level instead of leaving this procedure to the commerce server ?? I
know this can be done on a regular website with SSL, but I haven't found any
indications that this can be done with MSCS 2007 especially since the

Hi,
I just started playing with Commerce SErver and I'm getting this
message on my box as well. This is a clean box with nothing other
than:

Server 2003,
SQL 2005
Studio 2005 & 2008
and CS 2007 with SP2 installed.

The StarterSite (version 2) works great.

The box has been patched up via Windows Update too....

Any ideas?

Nick

Check out this article to find how to log and view package failures.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...77(VS.80).aspx

I had this issue with Visual Studio 2008 running on Windows Server
2008 (as a VM, if it matters). When I looked in the registry key for
the InprocServer32 value, it just had "CommercePkg.dll" in it without
a qualifying path. I modified that key to point to the file (in my
case, "c:\Program Files\Microsoft Commerce Server
2007\CommercePkg.dll") and after restarting Visual Studio, it seemed
to work.

Hey Thanks,
That got me past the missing package, however, the menu options under
web site aren't there.... Got any ideas on that one?

Thanks for the help...
