As somebody who switches between D5 + RAD Studio all the time, I
disagree. While I can see improvements in the help via the updates, I
still prefer the D5 help, which does not suffer from the requirement to
filter out all the unnecessary content, and which provides at least
some usable examples.

This could have been a well-established community project for YEARS.
The tools have been available to support this for a long time.
I do not understand why CG have been so reluctant to use one of their
last remaining advantages - the knowledgable, committed user base - to
fill a glaring hole in their product.
What is the advantage of waiting?

That's a good point! I'm missing those small examples as well.

I guess there was probably no one who could set it up and fill it with
basic contents. IOW, just a lack of resources.

Perhaps, but there is much much more content in the D2007 help. D5 and
D6 help were also lacking.

Absolutely. Think of all the valuable items one could not do without when
working in D2007 for win32. Like Visual Basic Help, .NET Framework, J# code
examples, etc, etc. This is such an improvement over D7.

Not what I meant. I meant there is much more Delphi content too.
