Installation issues with linksys router : DOTNET
This is a discussion on Installation issues with linksys router within the DOTNET forums in Framework and Interface Programming category; ..Net is required to run Norton Ghost so, 2 days ago, subsequent to a Norton Ghost 9.0 install I installed .Net along with it's service pack. I use a linksys router (wrt54gs) for internet, file and print sharing and noticed a slowdown in throughput internet speed immediately. Eventually, after a day or so, my router malfunctioned completely (no solid "Link" light bar) and, after trying umpteen fixes, I uninstalled .Net and everything is fine. I'd like to use Ghost and would appreciate any feedback on fixes or workarounds for my situation. -- Tom Richards http://webhandprint.com http://brainsturgeon.com newsgroups@brainsturgeonSPAM.com...

| Did you also install XP SP2 or maybe a firewall program? Or maybe some spyware? I'm wondering if the problem isn't .Net but Norton or something else. -- Ben Strackany www.developmentnow.com dn "Tom Richards" <email@brainsturgeon.com> wrote in message news:ucFAIvMxEHA.3840@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... > .Net is required to run Norton Ghost so, 2 days ago, subsequent to a Norton > Ghost 9.0 install I installed .Net along with it's service pack.
