Vim Latex goto error problem : Editors
This is a discussion on Vim Latex goto error problem within the Editors forums in Theory and Concepts category; I am using Vim (Gvim 7.0 for Windows) to edit and compile Latex. I have the problem that once the latex is compiled and the errors are listed in the quickfix window, I can't jump to an error's position in the main file by selecting it. (I understand from the manual it is supposed to jump to the position when I press enter on the selected error in the quickfix window) Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated...

| Thanks for your reply. I'm new to Vim, and it's not clear to me what errorformat parameters I need to change. I am using MiKTeX 2.5. One thing that might indicate what is wrong, the error/warnings appear fine in the quickfix list, but the log preview is empty. It appears that Vim tries to open the log file from my root directory rather than the correct location: the directory in which the original tex file is located. Is this the likely problem? And how do I correct it?
