VIM: how to jump to n-th character in file?

  1. Default VIM: how to jump to n-th character in file?

    Hi !

    I'm writing some plpgsql code,and when i make mistake,postgres
    compiler gives me a
character number, where mistake occured... For example : "error at or
    near ';' at character 10405"..

So - how to jump to this character in vim?:-) When i use - [nnn]l -
it stops at the end of current
line. How to force him(cursor) not to stop at the end of line (like
[nnn]e - it goes to next word in next line without problem). ?

    I digged in docs,google - and i can't find solution ...

Best regards and thanks for any suggestion:-)

    Hi,

    A destructive solution :
    : %s/\n/$/g
    gg
    10405l

    Hope this will help.

    Regards,
