| I have just loaded gvim on my laptop along with ruby. When I try amd run a simple ruby program from gvim with the command: :ruby.exe vimrubytest.rb I get an error: Syntax Error: (eval): 312: compile error The ruby file is pretty simple: puts ("A") It compiles and runs when I execute it from the command line and from my other installation of gvim from my desktop. I have c:\ruby and c:\ruby\bin and c: ruby\lib in my path I have the latest vim installed 7.2 and it was compiled with ruby support. Any ideas why this error is given or what clues it gives me to debug the situation. |

Instead off starting like :ruby.exe filename.rb I should have typed :rubyfile filelname.rb This solved my issue |
