[JED] Problem with subscribing the mailing list

  1. Default [JED] Problem with subscribing the mailing list

    Hi all,

I'm new here and I haven't had much time to lurk, but I have a long
time usenet experience and never had troubles - however I hope not to
break any explicit or implicit behavioural rule of this group. In
particular, I understand that this very question of mine is likely to
be OT wrt the group's subject which is about text editors and *not*
mailing lists about text editors. But I wouldn't know where to ask...

Well then: I have some problems with JED and I wanted to ask on the
ML, in fact I had already been subscribed to it some years ago. I
tried subscribing again according to the INCREDIBLY simple rules one
    can find at

    http://www.jedsoft.org/jed/mailinglists.html

But appearently it doesn't work for the following acceptation of "not
to work:" I don't get any error, nor does the mail bounce back, but I
don't get the confirmation mail, either.

For an instant, I suspected it may be dead, but I checked the
    archives:

    http://ruptured-duck.com/archives.html

And the list seems to be active as of now. Any idea?

For completeness, problem solved with the help of the list's admin who
eventually registered me manually. I've never known what was going
    wrong...
