ETA for 7.0 For Mac OS?
Has anybody heard anything regarding an ETA for Eudora 7.0 for Mac OS?
The Windows version is out. Also, any info if there will be better OS
X integration? OS X has been out four years now and there should be
better integration than there has been for the past several releases.

I asked recently and they said it was not coming anytime soon.
I didn't ask for more details, though.
It's a complete rewrite from the ground-up (from CodeWarrior to Xcode,
etc...), so it'll take a while, probably.

I haven't even received a reply to my inquiry.

That in itself isn't huge, unless they're 100% PowerPlant dependant.
But really, how many years have they seen this coming? I would expect
that response from a piece of FOSS, but not a commercial product.

Huh?
FOSS tends not to be tied into commercial toolchains, and except when it
is abandoned (not unusual...) it is much more common to find a FOSS
project demanding bleeding-edge tools ahead of their time (e.g. gcc 4)
rather than being left behind.

After reading "powerplant" word I gave up reading that post.
I would be really happy if Eudora used PPC based Altivec instructions
everywhere but it is not the deal.
The deal is, Apple announcing developers , mostly developers from money
making companies who can afford one of World's prestigious IDE must
switch to their freeware IDE and Cocoa.
Coded for years, some products can't easily switch. It includes Adobe
products too. We speak about millions of lines here.
