Is it the address that you inserted yourself into your outgoing message? What is the full name of the "domain" part of the address? (everything following the "@" character) What SMTP server are you specifying? (the real name would be best) > The e-mail address is located on one.com, > when the site was located somewhere else, there was no problem. What is the connection between a "[web?] site" and the email address? Many problems are caused by SMTP servers provided by "hosting companies" to use with email for "hosted domains" -- it is difficult for anyone to guess your specific problem, however, because you haven't given enough information for anyone to be any more helpful to you. However, I would suggest that this problem will vanish if you simply specify a different SMTP (outgoing) server in Eudora; use your local ISP's, or use Gmail's, for example, which is free to use with any Gmail account in which POP or IMAP is "enabled" (you do not have to use the POP or IMAP feature, just enable it to get free use of SMTP). If you were able to send mail to wherever you wanted using AOL, Yahoo, or Gmail, you will certainly be able to do exactly the same with Eudora, if you stop trying to use whatever SMTP server is creating the actual problem. If you use an SMTP server which requires authentication (login), make sure that its Eudora personality contains the correct user name and password for the SMTP server (you can not have a different password for POP than for SMTP in the same personality); when this seems to cause a conflict, the solution is to make the personalities for POP and SMTP separate, tell Eudora that the SMTP personality is the "relay" personality, and tell the POP personality to "use the relay personality" for sending mail (this arrangement only uses the SMTP personality's login and password for its SMTP server, without affecting the "From:" address associated with the originating POP account). -- |
