| A new problem has cropped up in the last couple of days. When I click on a link in my email, Eudora usually crashes. When it doesn't, it takes about 5 minutes to open the link. I've used Eudora for many years, and never had this problem. There has been no recent change in my settings or configuration. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this problem? I use Eudora 7.1.0.9, Paid Mode, on a Windows XP system. My default browser is Firefox 7. Bill Samuel |

Sawubona, I had to stop using Firefox three, and then Firefox altogether a couple of months ago. FF3 is just to slow, and it hangs up constantly. I went back to earlier versions that used to work OK, and the same thing happened. Now I also use "Flock" and love it. So I figured perhaps using the two at the same time might be the problem. So I uninstalled Fiorefox and haven't looked back. The new Google browser works well also, but I haven't been able to figure out where the find text icon, or command is. It is faster than any of them including Opera. I only use Eudora on my backup XP Pro SP3 computer and it has been down for a while as the fan went out on it. I didn't have any major problems though when the system was up. I've been with Microsoft Outlook 2007 all this year now, on a 64 bit Windows Vista Ultimate. I am perfectly comfortable with microsoft Outlook and it's built in Contact Manager plus all of the other programs that come with it. Eudora works fairly well on my Vista system, but not as smoothly as Outlook 2007. I don't use Thunderbird anymore either as there were some things it wouldn't do as I wanted. Good Luck |
