Forth game "SKAMPY" : Forth
This is a discussion on Forth game "SKAMPY" within the Forth forums in Programming Languages category; Here's Jason Damisch's SKAMPY, which I'm hosting on my webspace for him. I was surprised to learn after playing it that it was written in 2000. It's always an interesting exception when someone makes a game solely on a severely outdated platform. Download: http://rogerlevy.net/games/skampy.zip I think it's a charming game. Could use some fine-tuning in control and balance, but the graphics have an endearing simplicity. | I'll see if I can find the source. It may be somewhere around here. If you want to edit level files you will probably need some instructions, including which ascii characters correspond to which game tile in the level text files. Thanks for hosting this. Jason |

Perhaps there are more unknown forth games lurking out there? Here's another classic game ported from XPL0 to Forth. Requires MS-DOS, VGA and mouse. Should work on Windows up to XP. ftp://ftp.taygeta.com/pub/Forth/Comp...th/pede4th.zip |
