Paste face onto the body of another person

  1. Default Paste face onto the body of another person

    Hi all,

for an upcoming marriage next week, we'd like to make fun of the bridegroom.
We'd like to show some fake pictures of him, showing him staring in some
movies. Therefore we'd like to take his face from a picture of him, and then
paste it onto some other movie star.

Is there any software application which can easily fulfill this task,
without much effort? In an ideal case, the software would be able to adapt
automatically to the background of the new picture. For example if the
background is kept in white and black, the pasted face should also be shown
    in black and white, etc.

    Thanks for any hints!
    Herbert

+ ok... you'll need a pair of scissors... and a small bottle of
glue... the rest is obvious :-)

    * OK... that's only partially helpful :-)

Still, this will more or less be exactly how you'd do this
in gimp... using the [intelligent scissors], carefully cut out
the replacement... then... just paste this into the original.

Obviously, there may be some areas that dont fit exactly...
you can also fix most of this using the gimp.

I'd further suggest having someone with a moderate
amount of experience with Gimp, or even Photo-shop, do this
for you... otherwise, the wedding will long be over before the
    picture is done !

Your first answer was better...LOL :-)

I'd also add that once you cut the face from the original image(s) save it
to a separate file. Then you can paste it into any new image and you wont
have to start all over each time. For a black & white image you can either
de-saturate the original one or convert it to black & white first. For
other images you'll have to fiddle with the head to get its' color balance
right before pasting it into the new (modified) image.

This whole thing will take several methods to get a good looking final
image. Try it out and give more feedback on any steps you're having
    problems with.
