Horizontal bar charts with gnuplot? - Graphics

    Is it possible to make horizontal bar charts with gnuplot?
    I want to make images like this one:

    Also, is it really so that gnuplot cannot automatically put
    the values alongside the bars (as in the image above)?

    Yes, but it's harder than for vertical ones. You'll have to
    use 'boxxyerrorbars'.

    For the time being: yes. This will change in the upcoming next
    release.

    No.
    But if you try hard enough you can probably make a vertical
    bar chart and rotate all text elements by 90 degrees.
    Then the resulting output can be turned sideways to yield
    a horizontal chart.

    That it can do, at least in version 4.1.
