This is a discussion on print space in Indesign 2.0 (can't find CMYK) - Graphics ; When I am looking at my print space options, the profiles give me only a whole lotta RGB options, nothing in CMYK. I need to set it as CMYK somehow so the black will come out black. Any suggestions?...

Well, that makes since now. So even if we have a printer that uses C & M & Y
& K, we can't print out in that space?
I exported it to PDF and then printed it and it looked okay. I wonder why
this is?

Even though the printer has those colors it's still essentially an RGB
device. Sending it CMYK data will cause a CMYK to RGB to CMYK
conversion. Always use RGB when printing to non-postscript printers.
Bob
thanks. i didn't know this.
after exporting to pdf they printed just fine.
